At the core of my heart I am a lover of movement, travel, nature, and life. Through some trying experiences I have learned the simple fact that without struggle, there is no growth, and without dark, there is no light. These basic principles have remained constant teachers in my life. They have not only shaped who I am as a person, but who I am as a trainer as well. They have also taught me that no matter the circumstance, or the road block, we have the capacity to drastically improve our lives!
Growing up with severe Depression, body dysmorphia, various eating disorders, and brutal self criticism, I learned to use exercise as an outlet at an early age. Still, like so many others, despite believing I was working out for health reasons, deep down I was truly working out as a form of punishment and strict control over my body.
However, after over 20 years of battling my mind, Ive finally managed to find a balance with health, happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment.
It was those early years of using exercise as a tool against myself, that has set me up to help change the way you view fitness. After years of trying to find balance, I now understand it is the entire narrative that needs to change. Movement is meditation. Exercise is therapy, it is release, it is a celebration of the body and all that it is capable of. It is never a punishment, but a full expression of self love.
I was 10 days shy of turning 26 and two weeks shy of moving to Taiwan with the love of my life. But you know what they say about making plans....
I was hit by a boat propeller off the coast of Miami, Florida, where I am from. The accident left me nearly lifeless, with half of my blood being lost immediately, severe and traumatizing lacerations up and down my left leg, and entire chunks of my leg lost to the ocean. Those physical wounds were bad enough, but it wasn't until I woke up in the ICU that I learned of my new reality, I was paralyzed from the knee down on my left leg. The devastation was unbearable.
Dr. Allan Levi of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, asked if I would consider participating in an experimental surgery. They would use my own Schwann cells to create a graft big enough to encourage the growth and connection of my Sciatic Nerve....

We have created a workout space on our property to keep you connected to nature while moving. The property itself... a safe space for those who want to move and find their true strength and their true power. The Dream...to create a community of support and an ideology and belief that movement is connected to our mind, body, and soul.
And most importantly to support you in the belief that you can find strength beyond any circumstance.
